Elder Martinez and I |
We started the week off on Monday with a GREAT family home evening! People, have your family home evenings and I promise, you wont regret it!!!!
Tuesday we spent almost the entire day in the chapel organizing our zones interviews with President Egginton and the next day we went to the offices to have our interviews :D The interview was only supposed to be about 15 minutes, but it went over an hour long haha. I have learned so much from this man. its incredible.
After the interview we stayed in the offices to help out. I'm not sure i told you, but my companion Elder Martínez was a secretary as well, so we both help out when we visit. After helping out the secretaries we bought a "Rosca de Reyes". its a special bread they make every year on the 6th of January they eat this bread on "el día de los reyes" or, "Kings day" the day the kings arrived to see baby Jesus. Inside the bread they put little plastic dolls. to eat the bread, each person cuts their own piece and if your piece has a doll in it, you have to make or buy tamales to celebrate another day on the 2nd of February (i think). I have such good luck, that in the 3 times we ate this bread, i got a doll 2 times. We ate one in the offices, Elder Martinez and i bought a mini one, and we had another in a meeting we had with President Egginton and the stake presidency on Thursday. So i need to learn how to make tamales or find a side job to pay for them!!

We also had a zone meeting this Friday! |
Saturday morning some Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on our door and tried to share a message with us..... talk about awkward....
My scripture to ponderize: Mat. 11:28-30 Come unto Christ and he will make you rest!!!
We have been finding new investigators a lot in the last few weeks and were hoping to have some baptisms soon!!!
Challenge: Have a family home evening! Invite another family over or maybe some neighbors or friends who aren't members and enjoy some time with them while sharing a message about the gospel. You wont regret it!!!
I love you all!! thank you for your love and support!!
